Dennis McConnaughhay, Senior Minister
Dennis has been on staff at Post Road since June 2005. Prior to his role as Senior Minister, Dennis served as Associate Minister of the O'Fallon Christian Church in O'Fallon, Missouri (2000-2005). He also served with the First Christian Church and as a professor at St. Louis Christian College, both in Florissant, Missouri. Dennis graduated from St. Louis Christian College in 1981 and Kentucky Christian College in 1989. Dennis loves to creatively communicate the Word of God and lives by his life motto -- By His Grace and For His Glory. Dennis and his wife, JoDee, have three children -- Sarah (Good), Nathan, Anna and two granddaughters, Lillian and Evalyn.
Gary Whorlow, Minister of Adult Education
Gary began his ministry with Post Road in September of 1989. Prior to that, he taught and coached at the junior high level, served the LaPorte City Church of Christ in LaPorte, Iowa and was Senior Minister at Westport Christian Church in Westport, Indiana. He has a BA in Physical Education from the University of Northern Iowa at Cedar Falls and an MA in Practical Ministry from Cincinnati Bible Seminary, May 1989. Gary's major responsibilities at Post Road include: Oversight of all the Adult LIFE Groups, including Sunday morning classes, leadership training, Adult Ministries to include: Men's, Women's, Single's, Young Adults, Marriage Ministry, and Missions. Gary and his wife, Lisa, were married in 1979 and have three daughters -- Erin (Lanteigne), Shawna and Abigail.
Dawn Gentry, Director of Children's Ministries
Dawn began as Children's Ministry Director in 2001. She oversees the staffing, training, and direction of the nursery through 5th grade Sunday School classes, Children's Church, and other children's programs and activities. Dawn graduated from Rochester College in 1983 with an Associate's Degree and from Harding University in 1985 with a Bachelor's Degree in Child Development. Dawn recently received her Master's Degree in Practical Ministry from Cincinnati Bible Seminary. In addition to her responsibilities as Director of Children's Ministries, Dawn oversees the Service & Involvement and New Member aspects of the church. Dawn and her husband, Harold, have two children -- Michael and Elizabeth.
Aaron Johnson, Minister of Worship
Aaron joined the staff of Post Road in September 2007 having served with the North Liberty Church of Christ in North Liberty, Indiana since May 2004. He graduated from Kentucky Christian College with a Bachelor of Science in Bible and Church Music in 2004 and enjoyed a 6-month internship with Crossroads Christian Church in Evansville. Aaron and his wife, Jen, were married in May of 2003.
Jeff Stalnaker, Minister of Youth
A native of Florida, Jeff joined the staff of Post Road in September 2007 after having been Campus Minister of the Christian Campus Foundation at the University of Central Florida since July 2005. Prior to the campus ministry, Jeff was Youth Minister at First Christian Church in Winter Park, Florida. He has a Bachelor of Science degree (2003) with a specialization in missions from Florida Christian College. Jeff and his wife, Rachel, were married in May of 2002 and have one daughter, Sophia.
Bernardo Castillo, Hispanic Outreach Minister
Bernardo began as Hispanic Outreach Minister in July 2001. A native of Monterrey, Mexico, he graduated from Kentucky Christian College in 1972 and served several churches in Mexico before relocating to the US in 2001 with a burden on his heart to reach the growing Hispanic community in Indianapolis.The Hispanic Ministry now has a regular Sunday evening service, prayer meetings, and Bible studies. Bernardo and his wife, Rosey, were married in 1985 and have two children -- Daniel and Raquel.
Paul Daniels, Sports Ministry Director
Paul joined the staff of PRCC in January 2004 after serving as an intern for the Sports & Recreation Ministry for one year. He began playing in the men's leagues that were held in the "bus barn" and stepped up as a volunteer in the ministry when the Family Life Center was built in 1998. Paul grew up in Winter Haven, Florida. Paul's major responsibilties include: Administration of the Sports & Recreation Ministry, coordinating several church-wide events, and overseeing the church's Benevolence Ministry. He and his wife, Tani, were married in 1988 and one daughter, Hannah.
Don Johnson, Seniors Pastoral Care
Don Johnson, long-time member of the church and former elder, ministers to our senior and shut-in members of the congregation. Don and his wife, Aileen, have been members of Post Road for over 38 years.They have been married over 50 years and have three grown children, eight grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren. Before retiring from the private sector, Don was in sales for over 40 years; 25 of which were selling life and health insurance.
